To Become an Established Patient

Dr. McDowall will assess your needs with a comprehensive examination and a complete "inventory" of your mouth. He will record the current condition of all your teeth and soft tissues and any past completed dental procedures. A series of pictures from an intra-oral camera will be taken as well as a set of x-rays detailing the entire mouth (Full Mouth X-ray series).

After reviewing the patient's x-rays, intra-oral camera pictures, and the results of the comprehensive examination, Dr. McDowall will discuss his diagnostic findings with you. The patient will be given his treatment options as the doctor develops a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs.

Treatment Plan

The Treatment Plan is a customized written inventory of all treatments and procedures that Dr. McDowall has recommended. Fees for each treatment and procedure are listed.

Insurance patients:

The office will estimate the insurance and patient's portion of the dental fees on the Treatment Plan. This is only an estimate and is not a guarantee of payment by the insurance company. The patient is responsible for all fees the insurance company does not pay.

Remember that the insurance company only pays a portion of your dental fees. To avoid disappointment, make sure that your dental insurance assumptions are correct.
